Psychiatric diseases cause sexual dysfunction

Many psychiatric diseases, especially depression; anxiety disorder, performance anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia, personality traits, body image disorders, phobias or avoidance, sexual perversions, marital problems, fear of pregnancy, grief and life that may be stressful events, any element attributed to gender roles may be the cause of sexual dysfunction.”

1. Desire disorders: Decreased sexual desire disorder, sexual aversion disorder

The most important source of sexual problems in Turkey: Lack of education

In a study conducted in our country, it was determined that the most important source of sexual problems was illiteracy and ignorance with 62%. Therefore, we can say that individuals of all ages and genders who are deprived of sexual education are at risk. For example; Issues such as unplanned pregnancies, fear of sexually transmitted diseases that can be solved by education, taking precautions beforehand, and having knowledge about the precautions prevent possible sexual dysfunction.
